Inspired by the richness of Peruvian textile art, our artisan partners have been developing this project since 2013.

Our highly experienced Peruvian artisans have designed and refined these beautiful urban trainers to offer you original, durable, high-quality and 100% Peruvian footwear.

Our stunning shoes are made from handmade Peruvian fabric.

The lining is made of cotton and the insole is antibacterial and odour-resistant.

The outsole, lining and double protection are made from imitation leather, synthetic materials, cotton and breathable fabric.

Our artisan partners launched this project to share and bring Peruvian art to life with every step you take. They continue to create and perfect these beautiful shoes thanks to you and your support. 

Peruvian textiles:

The traditional Peruvian fabrics featuring ethnic patterns, used to make these trainers, have been handcrafted in the regions of Junín, Ayacucho, Cusco and Puno by Peruvian artisans.

The artisans continue to use the well-known and ancient Peruvian textile technique known as ‘El Tejido Plano’. This technique was developed and used in Peru by the ancient Nasca, Paracas, Chancay and Mochica civilisations, as well as by the Incas. 

Flat weaving results from the combination of two types of weaving: 

- The warp thread or passive thread: which, by performing a parallel twisting motion, interlaces the threads along their entire length.

- The weft or active yarn: which forms the stitches and is woven at right angles to the passive yarn, passing over or under it.

How can I look after my lovely trainers?

Don’t worry. Here’s a little tip to help extend the life of your lovely trainers:

- Use a waterproofing and stain-resistant treatment for textiles, imitation leather or genuine leather, preferably colourless, odourless and non-toxic to protect the environment.

Instructions for use:

- Remove all dirt and dust from your shoes using a brush.

- If they’re damp, leave them to dry to ensure they’re fully waterproofed.

- Spray the shoes evenly from a distance of 20–30 cm, applying short bursts rather than a continuous spray. Leave to dry for 10 minutes.

- Waterproof thoroughly, not only the imitation leather parts but also the Peruvian fabric, the seams, the edges and the laces.

- Repeat this process once more.

- Finally, allow the shoes to dry completely before wearing them, particularly in wet weather.
